The Smart Signaling that Brazilian roads need

Brazilian Highways face a recurring challenge: signaling points that are out, traffic lights and electronic signs without proper maintenance and teams that only discover a failure after it has already put drivers at risk.

According to data from the road infrastructure sector, a large share of accidents on critical stretches is associated with poor visibility and deficient signaling, especially at night and in the rain.

The answer to this scenario lies in Remote Management. Instead of relying on physical patrols and reactive maintenance, connected sensors continuously monitor the status of each signaling point and transmit this information in real time to a management center. Failures are identified before they become a risk, and the responsible team acts in a targeted way, without depending on someone reporting the problem.

NOX Signal on BR-277

This change is already underway. On the BR-277 highway, in Morretes, Paraná, M2M implemented NOX Signal, its Remote Management solution for road signaling, in partnership with Grupo EPR, Tecnowatt Iluminação and ANTT, with TIM Brasil connectivity ensuring real-time communication of the monitored points. The chromatic communication system makes it possible to identify the status of each signaling point from a distance, giving the concessionaire a complete view of the stretch at any time.

The result is a safer highway for those who travel on it and a more efficient operation for those who manage it. Where before it was necessary to wait for a problem to appear, today it is possible to prevent it.

With NOX Signal and TIM Brasil connectivity, M2M takes Remote Management where it makes the most difference: the safety of those on the road.
