A year of expansion, Innovation and impact for Brazilian cities

M2M and TIM Brasil have reached a historic milestone: more than 400 thousand Public Lighting Remote Management points sold in Brazil in just three years of partnership, with a presence in more than 30 cities, bringing connectivity, energy efficiency and Intelligence to Public Management.

This result reaffirms our purpose: measure to manage, and manage to transform.

NOX Smart Lighting: far beyond light

NOX Smart Lighting has evolved into a complete platform for smart urban management. In addition to energy efficiency and Remote Management, the solution has been helping our customers face real challenges, with data and NB-IoT connectivity.

In Barreiras, Bahia, the solution helped identify cases of copper cable theft, speeding up the operational response and bringing safety to public roads. In Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, during the 2024 floods, NOX Smart Lighting was essential to identify points with and without lighting and supported the city’s emergency management.

Energy balance as the basis of modern management

Energy balance is essential for municipalities and concessionaires to understand the actual consumption of circuits and optimize their resources. With M2M’s integrated solutions, we deliver:

  • Complete visibility of consumption in real time
  • Fast identification of deviations and losses
  • Support for energy and budget planning.

Water waste: the challenge that cannot wait

Brazil faces a critical scenario in water and sanitation:

  • 40% of treated water is lost in distribution
  • In 2022, 7.3 billion m³ were lost, a volume that would supply Rio Grande do Sul for five years
  • 32 million people still have no access to drinking water.

At M2M, we believe that measuring is the first step to transforming. That is why we offer Smart Metering solutions that reduce losses, increase efficiency and deliver real data for strategic decisions.
